DATRAN Reporting Version 3.10 Release August 2009

QTech are pleased to announce the release of version 3.10 of DATRAN Reporting. Version 3.10 is major release of this reporting tool, with major enhancments to the report build engine improving the speed of execution of reports. The addition of the ability to add a chart/graph to a report as well as automated printing, email and FTP transfer of report output. A number of template reports have also been provided.

DATRAN Q03 (RTU) Firmware Version 5.17 Release June 2009

QTech are pleased to announce the release of version 5.17 firmware for the DATRAN Q03 family of RTU products. We have further enhanced the interupt operation of the RTU comms ports. In version 5.17 we have created dynamic data logging with th addtion of DLP data-logging control functions and Cellular IP support has been provided.  Q90 Configuration and Diagnostic Utility versions 3.25 (or later) is required to configure Q03 version 5.17 firmware.

DATRAN VI 6.64 Release 26 June 2009

QTech are pleased to announce the major release of the new DATRAN VI version 6.64, Telemetry and SCADA control application. DATRAN Q03 (RTU) Firmware Version 5.14 Release December 2008

QTech are pleased to announce the release of version 5.14 firmware for the DATRAN Q03 family of RTU products. We have identified a potential timing issue on the RTU comms ports for certain batches/tolerances of the microporcessor. Version 5.14 contains enhancements to manage these differences and the resulting timing issue, we have also taken the opportunity to complete some minor enhancements, including extensions to the data radio compatibility. No upgrade to Q90 is required specifically for this release. Q90 Configuration and Diagnostic Utility versions 3.21 (or later) is required to configure Q03 version 5.14 firmware.

DATRAN VI 6.62 Release 28 November 2008

QTech are pleased to announce the major release of the new DATRAN VI version 6.62, Telemetry and SCADA control application. Version 6.62 is a significant release comprising a many new major features, enhancements and user interface improvements. DATRAN Q03 (RTU) Firmware Version 5.11 Release July 2008

QTech are pleased to announce the release of version 5.11 firmware for the DATRAN Q03 family of RTU products. This is a minor update providing support to recent enhancments in the Anydata iPort CDMA cellular modem. All users are advised that Q90 version 3.21 or later must be used with this revision of firmware.

DATRAN RTU DLP IDE Release April 2008

QTech are pleased to announce the release of the Down Loaded Program (DLP) Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Local control programs (DLP) have been developed using text editors and the running a command line compiler, these have been effective and worked well. There have been various releases of the command line compiler through the years, unfortunately there have been identified diference between the compilers which has meant cross compiling could create functional issues.

The DLP IDE is major step forward bringing both progam development and compilation into one environment, it is a windows application with significiant editing features and functionality. The ability to download a DLP directly into a RTU. Compiles  DLP's from all of the previous releases of the DLP compilers relased by QTech for QRTU and DATRAN II RTU's. This product provides the platform for a simulator in a later release, where the DLP can be developed and then run with in the environment.

DATRAN RTU Cellular Options 20 November 2001

QTech is constantly focusing on its own technologies, and their enhancement to the benefit of our existing users and potential new users, in terms of their integration and usefulness to the telemetry systems. In October we detailed the release of the Q03 Revision D processor among the many new features described in the attached PDF document was the direct support for the Wavecom GSM module. Since the release of that document the Module has also been tested with the Siemens TC35 GSM Terminal module, the Q03 Revision D processor now fully supports the use of both of these cellular modules using the GSM AT command instruction set.

The cellular option is ideal for a site that is marginal under your existing radio network but may be inside the cellular providers coverage.

A site may only need to be polled on an infrequent basis or where by a site is being used to log data, then with a GSM module at the Base Station as an additional communications channel option then circuit switched connections can be made directly to the RTU at 14k4 bps.

Where a back up telemetry option is required for a site, so when the main the communications network (radio) fails or the RTU drops into comms fail on this channel then it will fall back to the dial-up connection and call the base.

The functionality is now available whereby either as a standalone RTU (does not communicate with a base station) or as a back up option on an event, alarm or time based call (i.e. send me the reservoir level at 3pm every day) the Q03 Revision D processor is capable of transmitting an SMS text message to a pre configured SMS capable cellular device.
