December 2011 - Experienced Software Developer / Engineer

An exciting opportunity has now become available for a suitably qualified and experienced software developer / engineer to join us in our new offices in the western area of Christchurch.
 
QTech is developing exciting new generation hardware and software solutions for telemetry, remote monitoring and data logging applications.  As well as mobile and SMS technology systems and web based interfaces.
 
The key focus of the role will be involvement in the technologies and applications whilst embracing and learning from our existing product range and extensive market knowledge.
 
We expect the successful application to have:

• Minimum 5 years relevant industry and development experience
• .Net and C# skills and development experience
• SQL Server Database (design and queries)
• Significant architecture, modular design, unit design and protocol experience
• Ideally proven C/C++ abilities
• ASP .Net, Delphi, MFC. Java/Linux skills would be nice to have
• User interface software design abilities
• Project / time management skills to ensure quality results are delivered on time

 
Experience of cellular techniques, automation protocols (Modbus/DNP3 etc), communication techniques and electronic hardware understanding will be highly advantageous
 
Whilst individual technical expertise is clearly required, your ability to work within and actively contribute with the team is equally important. You will have periodic customer contact for both project work and developments requests so good communication skills are essential.
